Moira Fiore is telling friends, “We’ve been with the kids since they were born, and Charlie has only seen the kids a couple of times in the last few months.”

Fiore is the latest non-parent to step up.  TMZ broke the story … Denise Richards has offered to temporarily take custody of Bob and Max.

A judge will decide today who gets the kids.

In the 11-page letter, obtained from sources connected to Charlie, Warner Bros. states, “Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill.”

The letter then goes on to describe Charlie’s hijinks, including trashing the Plaza Hotel in NYC, coke binges, on-set failures because of drug fatigue, and diatribes against “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre.

The letter also notes that Charlie derailed production when he went into rehab, and then he fired his sobriety coach.  In fact, Warner Bros. claims it was so concerned about Charlie’s well-being, “Warner Bros. had an airplane waiting” to take him to a treatment facility … but Charlie would have none of it.

As for why Charlie got fired, the letter says there is a clause in his contract saying they can fire a performer who commits “a felony offense involving moral turpitude.”

The letter says, “There is ample evidence supporting Warner Bros. reasonable good faith opinion that Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude (including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly) that have ‘interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required’ under the agreement.”

In short, that’s why Charlie was fired.

Charlie’s lawyer, Marty Singer, has demanded Warner Bros. pay Charlie for the eight canceled episodes — or else.

Warner Bros. seems undaunted by the threat, even reserving its right to take legal action against Charlie.

Sheen tells us he wants the world to know what really happened behind-the-scenes of the show during his 8-year run … the good times and the bad … and he plans on naming names — including co-stars.

We’re told Sheen even has a title in mind — “When the Laughter Stopped.”

Sheen says even though he’s still working on the book — he’s expecting a bidding war for the publishing rights … starting around $10 mil.

As TMZ first reported, “Men” honchos shut down production for the season after Charlie told us he wanted to fight creator Chuck Lorre.

Sheen just called in to Fox Sports Radio with Pat O’Brien … where he claimed during the entire 8-year run on “Men” he felt like “an unwanted relative being given cold coffee at 9pm every night.”

And now that show execs have shut down production on “Men” for the rest of the season, Charlie believes the show is also done FOR GOOD … saying, “Can you imagine going back into the sludge pit with those knuckleheads at this point? Can you imagine? It would go bad quickly.”

It already has.

TMZ obtained the text message Kacey sent Charlie yesterday afternoon (see above). After dropping the bomb — which must’ve floored Charlie — Kacey continued, “I don’t believe it’s yours, but I’m going to Oregon to take care of the situation.”

As for why Kacey thinks Charlie is in the clear … he used protection, but Kacey says both of them were so out of it she’s not sure if it did the trick.

According to our sources, Kacey plans to terminate the pregnancy in the next few days.

We’re told Kacey never heard back from Charlie. He probably hasn’t picked up his jaw off the ground yet.

We’re told Charlie was taken out of his home on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance at 7 AM.

Two young women exited the house at the same time Charlie was taken out with a towel partially over his face.

Charlie was transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A.  We’re told tests were performed and doctors are waiting for results.

The 911 call was placed at 6:35 AM.

Sources say Charlie was having severe abdominal pains which triggered the 911 call. Stan Rosenfield, Charlie’s publicist, tells TMZ Charlie was in the emergency room this morning — sleeping.

We’re told Charlie’s father, Martin Sheen, and his mom, Janet Templeton, are at the hospital.  Charlie’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, is also there.

UPDATE: Neighbors tell TCC Charlie threw some sort of party last night. They heard women inside Charlie’s house singing Red Hot Chili Peppers songs throughout the evening. The party went on — loudly — well into the wee hours.

UPDATE:  Charlie’s medical emergency will not immediately affect production … “Two and a Half Men” is on hiatus this week.
